Beef + Lamb New Zealand Bay of Plenty invites you to a Farming for Profit field-day.
WHEN: Friday 24th April, 1pm - 4pm
WHERE: Ngati Whakaue - Wharenui Farm, 135 Wharenui Road, Rotorua
The field-day will highlight how Ngati Whakaue - Wharenui Farm located within the Rotorua catchment has successfully mitigated nutrient loss into lake Rotorua. Lee Matheson (PerrinAg) will cover the economic and environmental impacts in particular.
Part of the day will feature the benefits of Plantain out in the field. The farm has experimented more than most with spring and autumn sowings.
Erica van Reenen (B+LNZ) will talk about the benefits farmers are getting as a result of developing LEP plans for their properties. Erica is well experienced and considered an expert in this field.
A BBQ and refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the day
